Our medical staff consists of  Obstetrician/Gynecologists, Certified Nurse Midwives, a Physician Assistant, and a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Daniel G.Coty, D.O., F.A.C.O.O.G.

Dr. Coty joined Oswego County OB-GYN in July of 1999. He received his Bachelor's Degree from William Patterson College and his Doctor of Osteopathy degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed an OB/GYN residency at Bi-County Community Hospital in Warren, MI. Dr. Coty is Board Certified by the American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology. Before moving to Oswego, he practiced for three years in private practice in Toledo, Ohio and was the assistant Residency Program Director for OB/GYN at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.  Dr. Coty provides complete Obstetrical and Gynecological care both at Oswego Hospital and the Oswego County OB-GYN offices.

 Raj, K. Mahajan , M.D., F.A.C.O.G.

Dr. Mahajan is an Oswego native who has returned to practice in his hometown in November 2008. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Mahajan earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Buffalo. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the State University of New York at Buffalo Affiliated Hospitals. Dr Mahajan practiced in the Elmira area before returning to Oswego. Among the skills he brings to Oswego are his extensive knowledge of urogynecology and assisting women with incontinence issues. In addition, Dr. Mahajan has extensive experience in helping couples with fertility problems. He also has undergone special training in ultrasound and is certified as a diagnostic medical sonographer. 

Dr. Mahajan provides complete Obstetrical and Gynecological care both at Oswego Hospital and the Oswego County OB-GYN offices.

Ayesha L. Turner, M.D.

 Dr. Turner joined Oswego County OB-GYN in October 2017. She  earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education in New York City in 2009. She completed medical school in 2012 and a degree in Public health in 2013 from SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn , NY. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the University of Buffalo June 2017. Dr. Turner provides complete Obstetrical and Gynecological care both at Oswego Hospital and the Oswego County OB-GYN offices.

Judith A. DiMarco F.N.P.

Judy earned her Liscenced Practial Nurse degree in 1969 and Registered Nursing Degree a few years later. She has worked at the Maternity and ICU Departments of  Oswego Hospital  and as a part-time nurse for Dr. Mather. In 1990 she joined Oswego County OB-GYN  as the Office Nurse of the Fulton Office while earning her Nurse Practitioner degree which she completed in 1997. Since then Judy has been providing obstetrical and gynecological care to patients of Oswego County OB-GYN.


Theresa Naro, C.N.M.

Theresa joined the practice in November 2013.  Theresa graduated from The Ohio State University, where she earned a Master’s of Science in Nursing after studying midwifery and women’s health. Check has also completed Lamaze childbirth education training and is a DONA International (formerly known as Doulas of North America) trained birth doula. She is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives. She provides complete Obstetrical and Well Women Gynecological care both at Oswego Hospital and the Oswego County OB-GYN offices.

Malika Iton, C.N.M., W.H.N.P.

Malika joined Oswego County OBGYN in February 2017. She earned both her Certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner degrees from the University of Philadelphia School of Nursing.

She was a Labor and Delivery Staff nurse and a Clinical Instructor prior to moving to Oswego.




Megan Irland, P.A.-C. 

Megan Irland, a certified physician assistant, earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from LeMoyne College in 2011 and a bachelor’s degree in biology and Pre-med from Hartwick College in 2006. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Prior to coming to Oswego County OB-GYN, P.C. Ms. Irland was employed in a Neuro Critical Care ICU in New Orleans for four years. Irland also worked at Oswego County Opportunnities in their family planning division in 2012.

Megan will be providing office based Obstetrical and Gynecological care in the Oswego and Fulton locations.  

Joseph E. Mather Jr., M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
 Dr. Mather was raised in Oswego and then graduated from the University of Notre Dame. He returned to CNY in 1982 to complete his OB/GYN residency at SUNY Upstate following Medical School at St George’s University in Grenada. Dr. Mather returned to Oswego to join Oswego County OB-GYN in 1986. He became Board Certified by ACOG in 1988 and voluntarily recertified in 1999. Dr. Mather was a Past Chairman of the Oswego Hospital Board of Trustees and served on many committees, most notably the Construction projects for the new Surgical, ICU and Maternity departments. He has also served as chair of the Quality Assurance committee of ACOG District II.
Dr. Mather delivered countless infants and provided quality healthcare to many of the women in Oswego County  during his twenty-six years in practice. Unfortunately, Dr. Mather passed away in July 2012 after a two year illness and will be truly missed by his patients, colleagues, staff, community and family.
Joseph E Mather Sr., M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
 A founding member of Oswego County OB-GYN, Dr. Mather came to Oswego in 1961, following Medical School at SUNY Upstate in Syracuse, residency on Long Island, and a two year stint in the Army.  Dr. Mather has been Board Certified in OB/GYN since 1963, is a Past President of the County Medical Society, CNY Association of OB/GYN’s and ACOG District Chairman. Dr Mather retired in June 2013 after practicing for fifty two years. Dr Mather helped to shape the healthcare system in Oswego County.

Ronald V. Uva, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.


Dr. Uva is the other founding member of Oswego County OB-GYN. Dr Uva joined Dr. Mather in practice in Oswego in 1980. Dr. Uva received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from SUNY at Buffalo, earned his M.D. at University of Studies, Bologna, Italy, and completed residency at SUNY Upstate. He was Board Certified by the American College of OB/GYN in 1982 and voluntarily recertified in 1999. 

Dr. Uva was the Chief of OB/GYN at Oswego Hospital and NYS Legislative Chairman for ACOG and member of the New York State Board for Medicine. Dr. Uva retired from the practice of medicine in October 2013. He will continue legislative reform for women's health issues during his retirement.
